千種区の桃厳寺に行きました。
末盛城主 織田信秀公廟所と碑に記してあります、地下鉄東山線本山駅から南にすぐの付近、大仏があります、目的地は桃厳寺
Tougen temple was built by the lord of Suemori castle, Nobuyuki. He built the temple for his father Nobuhide and gave it his father's secular name. He prayed to Buddha for the repose of his father's soul at Tougen temple. Nobuhide's grave can be found in the temple grounds, marked by a sign stone.The temple is a little unique becouse there is a huge buddha (Daibutu) statue, almost ten meters tall. The starve is surrounded by ten Indian elephants and a pair of guardian dogs. We can see this temple on the left when walking south from Motoyama subway station(on the higashiyama subway line). It takes about five to ten minuts by foot.
